Prof. Eyal Yaniv

Prof. Eyal Yaniv, Phd. is a Senior Lecturer at the Graduate School of Business Administration at Bar Ilan University. He earned all his degrees at Bar Ilan University, and an LLB Bachelor of Laws at Ono Academic College. He was a visiting scholar at Harvard Business School, SAID Business School, Oxford University, and at Columbia University. His research interest includes Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Smart Cities, Smart Transportation and AI. (more than 50 publications and conference presentations in these areas). He has over 12 years of teaching experience in Business Management. Yaniv is also the founder of Bar-Ilan Center for Smart Cities – an ecosystem builder in the domain of smart cities. His business experience includes: Director, Bezeq – The Israel Telecommunication Corp. Ltd.; Director, Africa Israel Industries; Founder and CEO, Nonstop Internet Ltd. Netanya, Israel.

Ayelet Sapir

Ms. Ayelet Sapir Head of the Collaborative Funding Clinic at Bar Ilan Center for Smart Cities ; BA Sciences, MBA, is a researcher and Phd. Candidate at the Bar Ilan school of Business Administration. She builds on her vast experience in the software industry and on her expertise in business planning and business consultancy. Ayelet has mentored, trained and worked with startups and SMEs in European project (ICT-VentureGate, My-Way and My-Gateway) as well as a private consultant. For the last fourteen years she has worked on entrepreneurial and technological project development and implementation in various industries, contributing to project construction and management and to the
business aspects of their execution. She has developed, participated in, and coordinated ICT projects in FP6, FP7 and HORIZON 2020. In the last five years Ayelet has focused on deep-tech projects involving AI, AR/VR and cyber security. Her practical experience in technology includes system analysis and software
development at Applied Materials, Motorola Communications and more.

Dr. Eli Varon

Dr. Eli Varon is a Researcher and Lecturer affiliated with the Faculty of Engineering and Institute for Nanotechnology at Bar Ilan University. Varon currently serves as the Head of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Citizens Lab at Bar Ilan Center for Smart Cities where he focuses on the development of technologies for smart cities,  building data base models,  and leveraging AI-based systems to create personalized products. With a diverse research portfolio spanning  materials science, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence, he has authored over 20 publications and conference presentations. He has 7 years of teaching expertise in advanced bioengineering, biochemistry, and probability. His accolades include prestigious international honors such as the Teva Bioinnovator Fellowship, an International Nanotechnology Award, and a BINA scholarship. He collaborates extensively with esteemed researchers and entrepreneurs worldwide, leading teams in the development of groundbreaking technologies.

Avi Wagner

Mr. Avi Wagner is leading and managing the cooperation between Government Authorities and Municipalities to the Smart Cities Center at Bar Ilan University. Mr. Wagner joined the Smart Cities
Center at 2017 and brings vast municipal knowledge that he acquired during his several years of professional experience in the Automation Company where he served as VP of Sales and Business
Development at the Local Government Center. Mr. Wagner promoted projects of training adults and collaborations with leading business organizations and was a consultant and adviser on the teams of development and implementation of software systems in the municipal authorities. He defined with the teams their computerized and operational needs with the development of global technological
capabilities and formed the basis for the development of the “Smart City”.
Mr. Wagner holds a B.A. in Business Administration and computers and a master’s degree in law from
Bar Ilan University.
